Bharti Airtel and Sanlam to distribute financial products across continent

Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement with South African financial services group, Sanlam, for the distribution of insurance and health funding products across Africa

The agreement covers seven African countries on a non-exclusive basis, in which both companies already have a presence – namely, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Malawi and Nigeria.

Airtel said that the agreement is aimed at enhancing value for its customers and increasing access to insurance, in turn enabling Sanlam to market and sell its life, general and health insurance products through Airtel’s telecommunications networks.
